Terms of Service.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service describe the conditions under which a visitor may access Oranel, an independent editorial publication based in Jakarta and reachable at oranel.info. By reading any page of the site, a visitor agrees to use it lawfully, respectfully, and in a manner consistent with these terms. If a visitor does not accept these terms, the appropriate response is to stop using the site, since continued use after a revision has taken effect is treated as acceptance of the updated version described in Section 11.
These terms apply to every public page of the site, to correspondence sent through the contact form or by email, and to any embedded feature such as the map on the contact page, to the extent that Oranel controls that feature. Where a specific embedded third-party service has its own separate terms, such as Google Maps, those terms apply in addition to, and not instead of, this document for the portion of the experience that the third party controls.
2. Editorial purpose and nature of the content
Oranel publishes editorial material about men's dietary supplement habits, everyday nutritional variety, and active lifestyle routines relevant to readers in Jakarta and across Indonesia. Articles are written and edited for general informational and editorial purposes, drawing on published nutritional sources and the editorial team's own research and observation. They are not personalised advice for any individual reader and are not a substitute for guidance from a qualified health or nutrition professional who is familiar with that reader's own circumstances.
Readers remain solely responsible for any decision they make in their own daily routine after reading an article on this site, and Oranel does not warrant that any approach discussed in an article will be suitable or appropriate for every reader. Where an article discusses a specific nutrient or food supplement category, it does so descriptively, and any reader considering a material change to their own diet or supplement use is encouraged to seek independent professional guidance suited to their personal situation.
3. Accuracy of published material
The editorial desk works to keep publication dates, author names, ingredient descriptions, and external references accurate at the time each article is published. Nutritional knowledge, published research, and product labelling can change after publication, and Oranel does not undertake to continuously monitor every external source referenced in older articles for subsequent changes. Where a material factual error is identified in a published article, a correction note is added to that article, and, where appropriate, a brief explanation of what was corrected and when.
A reader who believes a specific passage contains a factual error is encouraged to report the concern to [email protected], including the page address and the relevant passage, so the editorial desk can review the point and respond. Oranel aims to acknowledge a correction request within 5 business days and to complete any warranted correction within 30 calendar days of that acknowledgement, though more complex reviews involving multiple sources may take longer.
4. Acceptable use of the site
Visitors may read the site, link to individual articles, and quote reasonably short excerpts with clear attribution to Oranel and, where practical, a link back to the original page. Visitors may not attempt to disrupt the site's availability, probe or attempt to access restricted systems or infrastructure supporting the site, impersonate Oranel or any member of its editorial team, or submit unlawful, defamatory, or fraudulent material through the contact form.
Automated access to the site, such as by a script or crawler, must respect the ordinary technical limits described in the site's robots.txt file and must not place an unreasonable load on the hosting infrastructure. Oranel reserves the right to restrict or block access from a specific address or pattern of requests where there is a reasonable basis to believe that access is being misused in a way that threatens the service or the experience of other readers, without that action constituting a waiver of any other right described in this document.
5. Intellectual property and copyright
The text, layout, visual design, brand marks, and original editorial photography published on this site belong to Oranel or to its licensors, unless a specific page states otherwise. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of that material to a visitor, and permission from Oranel is required before any substantial reproduction, republication, or commercial redistribution of an article, image, or significant portion of the site's design.
Short quotations from an article may be used by a third party for commentary, criticism, or reference purposes provided that a clear attribution to Oranel and a link to the original page accompany the quotation, consistent with ordinary editorial practice. A request to reproduce material beyond a short quotation, or to use it in a context not covered by this section, can be sent to the editorial desk at [email protected] before publication of that use, so that the request can be reviewed and a response given within a reasonable period.
6. External links and third-party content
Articles on this site may reference or link to external sources, including published research summaries, government resources, or other websites that the editorial team considers relevant to a given topic. Oranel selects such references with ordinary editorial care at the time of publication, but does not control the content of external websites and is not responsible for changes made to them after an article is published, nor for the privacy or security practices of any site reached by following an external link.
A link included in an article does not imply that Oranel endorses every view expressed on the linked page, or any product, organisation, or claim described there. Where a linked resource is later found to be broken, outdated, or no longer appropriate, a reader is welcome to flag this to the editorial desk so that the reference can be reviewed and, if warranted, updated or removed from the article.
7. Limitation of liability
The site and its content are provided on an informational, editorial basis, and Oranel does not represent that every statement in every article will be free of error or will remain current indefinitely, for the reasons described in Section 3. To the fullest extent permitted under applicable Indonesian law, Oranel and its editorial team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from a visitor's use of, or reliance on, material published on this site, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Oranel takes reasonable technical measures to keep the site available and secure, but does not warrant that access to the site will be uninterrupted or entirely free of technical fault, since website infrastructure can be affected by factors outside any single operator's control, including third-party hosting outages or general internet connectivity issues. Where a technical fault is reported to [email protected], the editorial and technical team will investigate and address it within a reasonable period considering its severity.
8. Indemnification
A visitor who submits material to Oranel, whether through the contact form or by email, confirms that they have the right to submit that material and that it does not infringe the rights of a third party or violate applicable law. A visitor agrees to hold Oranel reasonably harmless from a third-party claim arising directly from that visitor's own submission of unlawful material in breach of Section 4, to the extent permitted under applicable Indonesian law.
This section does not extend to claims arising from Oranel's own editorial content, its handling of personal data as described in the separate Privacy Policy, or its operation of the site generally, all of which remain governed by the other provisions of these terms and by applicable law rather than by this indemnification clause.
9. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would apply the law of a different jurisdiction. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the use of this site that cannot be resolved through direct correspondence with the editorial desk, as encouraged throughout this document, will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Jakarta Selatan, Indonesia.
Before initiating a formal dispute, a visitor is encouraged to first write to [email protected] describing the issue in reasonable detail, so that Oranel has an opportunity to review and, where appropriate, resolve the matter directly. Oranel aims to respond substantively to a dispute-related enquiry within 30 calendar days of acknowledgement, consistent with the timelines described elsewhere in this document.
10. Termination of access
Oranel may suspend or restrict a visitor's access to the site, in whole or in part, where there is a reasonable basis to believe that visitor has materially breached Section 4 of these terms, without that action limiting any other remedy available to Oranel under applicable law. Because the site does not require account registration to read public articles, "access" in this section refers principally to technical measures such as blocking a specific address or request pattern rather than to closing a personal account.
A visitor who believes their access has been restricted in error may contact [email protected] to request a review, and the editorial and technical team will consider that request and respond within a reasonable period, typically within 30 calendar days, taking into account the information provided.
11. Changes to these terms
Oranel may revise these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in how the site operates, changes in applicable law, or clarifications identified through ordinary editorial review. When a revision is made, the "updated" date shown at the top of this page is changed accordingly, and a summary of the change is recorded in the change log in Section 12 below.
Continued use of the site after a revised version has been published is treated as acceptance of the updated terms for future visits, though this does not apply retroactively to conduct that occurred before the revision took effect. A visitor who does not agree with a revised version should discontinue use of the site from that point forward.
12. Revision history and contact
The table below records the substantive revisions made to these Terms of Service since the site's initial publication, and the version dated 18 August 2026 is the version currently in force. Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected], addressed by post to Oranel at Jalan Panglima Polim No. 56, 12160 Jakarta Selatan, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia, or raised by telephone on +62 21 2184 7209 during office hours of Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 WIB.
